Reno official considers higher office

RENO -- Reno City Councilwoman Jessica Sferrazza said she is considering running for a higher statewide office.

The 10-year councilwoman told the Reno Gazette-Journal her experience in economic development would be an asset as lieutenant governor, who serves as chairman of the state economic development and tourism commissions.

Sferrazza, a Democrat, said she would work to bring renewable energy companies to Nevada to create jobs and make the state more self-reliant in its energy needs.
