Shots fired at Las Vegas police officers

At least two officers were shot at Tuesday night near Cheyenne Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard, police said.

About 9 p.m., five to six gunshots were fired at an apartment complex where Las Vegas police officers stood filing paperwork from an earlier abuse and neglect call, police said. No one was hurt.

Four canine units were called to the scene as officers surrounded the complex at 2901 N. Rainbow Blvd. As of late Tuesday night, officers had been unable to locate a suspect and still were investigating whether the shooting was related to the abuse and neglect call.

Police took a woman into custody related to that call.
