Slaying draws prison term

KINGMAN, Ariz. -- A 10-year prison term was imposed Wednesday for a 62-year-old Arizona man who was convicted in the August 2008 death of his roommate in Golden Shores.

Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Williams sentenced Richard Knetzer, who was convicted of negligent homicide and aggravated assault.

Attorneys offered different versions of events in how the victim came to be shot in the hand. But there was no dispute that James Barry Rogers, 45, eventually bled to death after he failed to seek medical attention for a number of hours after he was wounded.
