Slaying suspect enters plea deal to avoid death penalty

A 30-year-old man who was set to go to trial Monday for allegedly raping and murdering a woman in 2006 pleaded guilty today to spare him the possibility of the death penalty.

Kahmuhh Eisenhour pleaded guilty to murder with a deadly weapon, sexual assault and kidnapping in the slaying of 51-year-old Sharon Sharpe.

Sharpe was found slain in the desert in May 2006 near the Hacienda and U.S. Highway 93 in Boulder City.

Eisenhour will be sentenced on Feb. 24.
