Teachers protest budget cut plan at Cashman Field

Abby Pawlak sits on the shoulders of her mother, Barb Brents, during a rally against proposed education cuts Saturday afternoon at Cashman Field in Las Vegas.

Clark County Education Association President Ruben Murillo told the crowd that legislators would rather gut public funding and wipe out regulatory agencies than raise taxes.

"We're here because teachers' working conditions are students' learning conditions," he said.
