Teen offers no motive in shooting death of mother

WINNEMUCCA - Police in Winnemucca say they don't know what prompted a shooting that has a 14-year-old boy facing a felony murder charge in the death of his mother.

The teen told investigators he sometimes had overwhelming feelings of anger and previously thought about suicide, according to the Elko Daily Free Press.

The boy was arrested after he was seen running from the house Monday afternoon, shortly before his mother was found dead. Police say investigators recovered a gun in the house.
