Two Las Vegas children die in California traffic accident
Two Las Vegas children were killed Sunday night in a crash in California.
Authorities said Thurgood Marshall, 9, and Ariyana Daniel, 5, were passengers in a 2012 Nissan Altima that collided with a tractor-trailer about 10 p.m. on Interstate 15 near Baker, Calif.
The children were not properly restrained and died at the scene, authorities said. Their 25-year-old mother, the driver of the Nissan, suffered moderate injuries.
California Highway Patrol was investigating. Police did not release the mother's name and had not charged her in the crash.
