Two teenaged pedestrians struck near Harmon and Jones

Two teenagers were taken to University Medical Center after they were struck by a car Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened around 1:40 p.m. near Harmon Avenue and Jones Boulevard, according to Las Vegas police.

The driver of the car failed to yield to the two teens as they walked in a marked crosswalk, police said. They were taken to UMC with injuries that were not life-threatening injuries.

The driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian, said police spokesperson Laura Meltzer.
