Two tourists killed, two hurt in crash in northern Arizona

A sightseeing excursion from Las Vegas into northwest Arizona ended with a collision that claimed the lives of two tourists from Australia and left two others injured.
The two-vehicle crash on Diamond Bar Road one-half mile east of U.S. Highway 95 happened at 10:25 a.m. Monday, said Trish Carter, spokeswoman for the Mohave County sheriff's office.
The four tourists were eastbound in a Dodge Charger when their rental car crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a heavy-duty pickup driven by a Kingman woman.
The two women riding in the rear of the Charger -- Annette Anstis, 67, and Robyn Mann, age unavailable -- were killed, Carter said.
The car's driver, Hector Anstis, and another passenger, Graeme Mann, both 69, were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas. Hospital spokeswoman Ashlee Seymour said Tuesday afternoon that Mann was in serious condition and Anstis was in fair condition.
Carter said the tourists had been staying in Las Vegas and drove into northwest Arizona to see the sights and possibly visit the Skywalk at Grand Canyon West.
The driver of the Ford F350, Angela Hazelton, 46, was released after being treated at Kingman Regional Medical Center, Carter said.
She said investigators were trying to determine the cause of the collision and the reason the Charger drifted into the path of the pickup.
