Vegas visit comes after trip to court
Actress Michelle Rodriguez, less than a week after being sentenced to a 180-day jail sentence, hit the nightclub scene in Las Vegas over the weekend.
The former "Lost" star was in at least three clubs in about 12 hours.
She was seen drinking water at her first stop, the grand opening of Diablo's Cantina at the Monte Carlo. Later, she joined the party scene at Pure nightclub at Caesars Palace and on Sunday, she was spotted at Tao Beach at The Venetian.
Rodriguez last week claimed she has changed her ways after a series of drunken driving incidents that threatened to put her career in jeopardy. A judge had allowed her to shoot "Avatar," director James Cameron's new film project.
But Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Daviann L. Mitchell had little sympathy last week. She ordered Rodriguez to report to jail on Christmas Eve to start serving six months in jail for failing to complete community service and alcohol monitoring stemming from a probation agreement from a previous drunken driving incident.
Rodriguez was on three years' probation after pleading no contest to hit and run, driving on a suspended license and drunken driving in two incidents in 2003.
THE SCENE AND HEARD

Dawson, 28, who founded a get-out-the-vote organization called Voto Latino, told reporters Thursday at the Latino Leaders Network Lunch in Washington, D.C., that she's attracted to Nevada because the presidential caucus there has been moved up, making it "an up-and-coming state." She appeared in the film "Sin City" in 2005 and returns in "Sin City 2."...
The numbers in Mary "Mama" Scinta's age were transposed here the other day. She is 78 years young.
