Victim of ambulance accident identified

The 66-year-old Las Vegas woman who died Sunday evening in a crash involving an ambulance has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office as Fe Revilla Gascon.

According to witnesses, a 2005 Pontiac Vibe was traveling east on Bridger Avenue when it collided with a 2003 Ford E350 ambulance that was traveling north on Las Vegas Boulevard at 5:13 p.m.

Both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, Las Vegas police said. The ambulance belongs to American Medical Response.

Gascon was pronounced dead at the scene. She died of a crushed chest in what the coroner’s office ruled was an accident.

The passengers of both vehicles were taken to University Medical Center for minor to critical injures.

No charges had been filed in the case as of today.
