Victim of single-vehicle wreck was 41-year-old Honolulu man

A Honolulu man who was killed last week after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree was identified Tuesday as Jashua Choy, 41.

Choy died from blunt force trauma suffered in a motor vehicle accident, the Clark County coroner's office said.

The accident happened at 2:40 a.m. Thursday on Warm Springs Road near Windy Street, Las Vegas police said. Choy was driving a 2010 Suzuki SX4 east on Warm Springs when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed the intersection, struck a palm tree and rolled onto its side.

He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
