We’ll always have Paris to blame

Did a "wasted" Paris Hilton put Privé nightclub back in hot water?
And how much trouble is "Peepshow" co-star Shoshana Bean in for spilling the beans?
Las Vegas-based blogger Richard Abowitz raised the questions Monday after Bean posted a Twitter tweet sighting of a wobbly Hilton entering Privé's ladies room early Sunday.
Brean wrote: "@ Privé exiting bathroom, blonde girl surrounded by people, can barely stand We step aside she comes in. Paris Wasted."
Celebrity blogger Robin Leach ran Bean's tweet Sunday afternoon. Later, both tweets were removed from their Twitter pages.
"I know what you are thinking," wrote Abowitz. "Why would this thing be a big deal, true or not? Paris Hilton being allegedly wasted is an old story, especially in Vegas.
He added, it could be a very sensitive issue, "not to Hilton but to Privé, a club for which Planet Hollywood recently paid a $500,000 fine for failing to sufficiently monitor the nightclub's behaviors, including serving visibly intoxicated patrons."
Abowitz noted Privé recently had its liquor license revoked and is operating under a temporary liquor license that faces review.
"A decision to serve someone visibly intoxicated, no matter if it was Paris Hilton or a regular tourist, could have disastrous consequences for the club's future and for landlord Planet Hollywood, which is on the hook to pay an even bigger fine if the club repeats its earlier alleged infractions," Abowitz wrote.
A representative of Bean told Abowitz: "Shoshana does not wish to be interviewed regarding the tweet about Paris Hilton."
County commissioners, who could have issued a 90-day temporary license to Privé on Tuesday, put off a decision until Oct. 6.
There was no indication commissioners were aware of the Hilton issue at the club, which reopened two weeks ago. Other incidents concerned the commissioners, among them that Planet Hollywood security held up Metro undercover detectives nearly 15 minutes.
Commissioner Lawrence Weekly said commission members weren't comfortable with green-lighting the license at this time.
