Woman arrested in slaying
A 20-year-old California woman was arrested in the stabbing death of a man on Las Vegas Boulevard South on Sunday morning.
Las Vegas police were called at 12:02 a.m. to a fight in front of Hawaiian Tropic Zone. They found a man lying on the ground, bleeding from what appeared to be a stab wound.
He was taken to University Medical Center where he died.
The Clark County coroner's office had not released his name as of Monday afternoon.
Detectives arrested Desiray Ortiz, of La Verne, Calif., on charges of murder with a deadly weapon.
Homicide detectives learned a group of people from California got into a fight with employees of a different business before the stabbing occurred, police said.
