Woman must stand trial
The woman facing murder charges in connection with the death of an Ashley Furniture Homestore manager will stand trial for the killing.
Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure said Thursday there is enough evidence to put 24-year-old Lucia Reveles on trial for murder.
He also granted Reveles $100,000 bail.
Reveles, a former Ashley Furniture employee, is accused of providing inside information to Thayer Burton, who is accused of shooting and killing 53-year-old Robert Bills, the store manager.
Authorities said Burton shot Bills on Nov. 23 in the parking lot of the store at 3130 N. Rainbow Blvd. when Bills was leaving to make a banking transaction.
Bills had more than $22,000 in cash and checks on him at the time of the robbery but Burton didn't take it, authorities said.
Authorities said Reveles told Burton when money transactions were being made and gave Burton a physical description of Bills.
Reveles' attorney, James "Bucky" Buchanan, previously argued that Las Vegas police never read Reveles her rights or informed her she was under arrest when they interviewed her at a police station on June 17.
A police detective said previously that Reveles wasn't under arrest when police questioned her at the station. Police arrested her on June 18.
Bonaventure said Thursday that he didn't find the police committed any violations.
