Woman sentenced in fatal stabbing at Bally’s

The woman who fatally stabbed another woman at Bally's in September was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison this morning.

District Judge Valorie Vega sentenced Latrovia Reed, 23, for the fatal stabbing of 20-year-old Taleasha Jamerson at the reception area of Bally's on Sept. 5.

During the emotional sentencing, Reed apologized for the slaying and said she wished she could return to Texas to be with her family.

Reed had previously pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter.
