LETTER: Teachers and Ed schools

In your Monday editorial, you quoted a parent at a Clark County School Board meeting on school violence as saying, “You guys have educations, Ph.Ds. But where’s the brains?” This brings to mind a joke about about degrees in education.

New teachers begin with a B.S. in education, then follow it up with an M.S. (More of the Same) and finally a Ph.D. (Piled Higher and Deeper). Nowhere do brains come into play.
