Conor McGregor charged with assault after incident in NYC

UFC star Conor McGregor was in court on Friday and charged with three misdemeanors and a felony. McGregor, 29, showed up after media day for Saturday’s UFC 223 event with an entourage intent on confronting Khabib Nurmagomedov. McGregor hurled a dolly through a window and injured at least two of the athletes who had been scheduled to fight. Lightweight Michael Chiesa suffered facial lacerations and deemed unable to compete in his bout against Anthony Pettis.

Team USA has announced its official roster. USA managing director Jerry Colangelo announced the team. The team has called Las Vegas home since 2006 LeBron James will be back in Las Vegas for minicamp July 25-27. Look for other players such as Kevin Durant to practice at Mendenhall Center. Metro investigating officer-involved shooting in east Las Vegas

A man died Friday morning after Las Vegas police shot him during a traffic stop. Officers were on their way to another call when they pulled over a vehicle for reckless driving. Police say the man was holding a gun when he got out of the vehicle, and at some point threw the gun to the ground. As officers told the man to put his hands up and stay away from the weapon, he got to his knees and grabbed it. The man was shot by police after he pointed the gun at officers.

Updated Information:
Conor McGregor turned himself in to the NYPD late Thursday night after his involvement in vandalizing a UFC bus transporting fighters in Brooklyn, New York. Two fighters, Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg, suffered injuries in the incident forcing them off of the UFC 223 card. Artem Lobov, a teammate and friend of McGregor’s, was also removed from the card for his involvement in what happened.
