Did you know there is an underground house in Las Vegas? The home was originally built as a bomb shelter in 1978, and sits 26 feet below the surface. The midcentury-style home measures about 6,000 square feet, and features two bedrooms and three bathrooms. There’s a 6-foot-deep pool, a spa, a barbecue area, and a carpeted six-hole putting green. The Underground House has lighting that emulates different times of the day. And mountain and wilderness murals depict an outdoor setting. The home is accessed from a flight of stairs that’s part of a town home.
A man in his 50s was stabbed in the head early Thursday morning in downtown Las Vegas. The suspect is his girlfriend’s father. The man said he and his girlfriend were walking near the Golden Nugget when the incident occurred, around 5 a.m. The man and his girlfriend contacted casino security and he was taken to a hospital with a laceration to his head. Police are not sure of a motive and are looking for the suspect, whose age is unknown.
Trump Requests Private Arbitration in Stormy Daniels Lawsuit President Trump filed court papers to request that Daniels and him resolve the case privately. The adult film star was paid $130,000 to stay quiet about her affair with Trump. She sued Trump last month to break the nondisclosure agreement since Trump had never actually signed it. The new court filing requires that Daniels pursues any disagreement in arbitration.
Russia: Trump Invited Putin to Visit White House The White House confirmed that President Trump has discussed meeting with Vladimir Putin in the near future. The Kremlin’s foreign policy adviser, Yuri Ushakov, said the two men spoke on March 20 and Trump proposed a meeting. The phone call came before last week’s diplomatic explusions following the nerve attack on Russian double agent Sergei Skripal.

Henderson Constable Earl Mitchell walked away from his re-election bid. Just hours before the Las Vegas Review-Journal posted a story questioning his spending. Now, the Nevada Attorney General wants a criminal investigation. The paper found Mitchell wrote himself $70,000 in checks from county funds. Withdrew deputy pay at casino and video poker bars. And went on trips to places his adult children live using county funds. Mitchell has refused to discuss the spending.
Tesla Driver Dies While Using Autopilot The automaker confirmed the driver didn’t have his hands on the wheel for about six seconds before the Model X collided with a highway barrier.
