51s’ late onslaught fuels win vs. Aces

The 51s piled up 10 runs over the final two innings, rallying from a 6-3 deficit, to beat the host Reno Aces 13-7 on Wednesday in a Pacific Coast League game.

In the ninth, Jesus Merchan had an RBI double, Aguila hit an RBI single, and Hoffpauir reached and got an RBI on a fielder's choice.

After a Brett Wallace double, Hoffpauir again scored on a wild pitch to Arencibia. Jeremy Reed and Jorge Padilla capped the outburst with RBI singles.

Reliever Jeremy Accardo gave up two hits and a run in the bottom of the ninth before closing it out for the 51s.
