The 51s put up two runs in the second inning, then failed to score again in a 3-2 Pacific Coast League loss to the host New Orleans Zephyrs on Monday. It was Las Vegas' third straight setback.
Luis Maza's sacrifice fly and Rene Rivera's RBI double gave Las Vegas (61-56) a 2-0 lead in the second.
But New Orleans (57-60) countered with three runs in the bottom of the fourth to complete the scoring. Michel Abreu and Raul Casanova had RBI singles, and Ramon Martinez added a sacrifice fly.
Both teams had seven hits. Las Vegas starter Heath Totten allowed all three runs on seven hits and two walks in six innings. New Orleans starter Jonathon Niese also went six innings, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks.
