51s rally in ninth to knock off Bees

Jorge Padilla’s go-ahead three-run double capped a four-run rally with two outs in the ninth and carried the 51s to a 6-5 victory over the Salt Lake Bees in a Pacific Coast League game Tuesday in Salt Lake City.

Bees reliever Bobby Cassevah gave up Jonathan Diaz’s leadoff single in the ninth and then recorded back-to-back outs.

Brett Wallace followed with an RBI single, and Brian Dopirak singled.

Rich Thompson (0-1) replaced Cassevah and allowed J.P. Arencibia’s single to load the bases before Padilla doubled to center field.

Las Vegas’ Jeremy Accardo worked around a single in the bottom of the ninth for his eighth save.

Arencibia went 3-for-5 and Jarrett Hoffpauir had a two-run homer for the 51s (28-38).
