■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Tacoma, Wash., right-hander Carlos Torres tossed his second complete game of the season Sunday as the 51s earned a split of the four-game series against the Rainiers at Cheney Stadium. ... Torres allowed a run on two hits, walked two and struck out four. The only run he allowed came in the seventh inning on a ground out by Rich Poythress. ... Las Vegas infielder Eric Campbell gave the 51s a 2-0 lead in the top of the seventh with a solo home run, his sixth of the season. ... After Tacoma closed to 2-1 in the bottom half, the 51s exploded for five runs in the eighth. Brandon Hicks supplied the firepower with a grand slam off reliever Jonathan Arias. The home run was Hicks’ fourth of the season. ... Campbell added his second RBI of the game when he drew a bases-loaded walk in the eighth. ... 51s infielder Wilmer Flores went 3-for-4 with a fourth-inning RBI single, and designated hitter Brian Bixler collected two hits for Las Vegas. ... The teams meet again for a four-game series starting tonight at Cashman Field. ... Zack Wheeler (4-1, 4.14 ERA), the top pitching prospect of the parent New York Mets, is scheduled to start Wednesday against the Rainiers.
