Australia’s Belmonte leads bowlers into World finals

Australia's Jason Belmonte pulled away from the field to claim the top qualifying position for the PBA World Championship finals at South Point Bowling Center.
Belmonte finished with a 13,455 pinfall total, 29 ahead of Sean Rash of Montgomery, Ill. Belmonte entered the final round of match play in second place, but bowled a 279 and 300 to take the lead.
Also advancing to Sunday's stepladder finals were Rhino Page, of Dade City, Fla.; Dan MacLelland, of Canada; and Parker Bohn III, of Jackson, N.J.
