UNLV baseball team falls to UNR for fifth straight loss

Austin Byler’s one-out RBI double in the 12th inning lifted UNR to a 10-9 win over UNLV in a Mountain West baseball game Thursday in Reno. Joey Armstrong went 4-for-7 for the Rebels, who fell to 12-16 overall and 2-11 in the conference.

Records are nice, but wins would be better

I was fortunate to have some good at-bats last few weeks and I tied an NCAA record for reaching base safely in 18 consecutive plate appearances. I also broke UNLV’s record for consecutive hits with 10. It is an honor to reach those milestones but I would trade those individual accolades for a couple of team wins.
