3 Princess Bertrando - Exits a much tougher stakes race for this easier condition assignment; tactical speed to sit a nice trip.
2 Tatum’s Gold - Exits the same race as the chalk, the Golden State Juvenile Fillies; best stride figures to come late.
Long Shot - 5 Grand Yodeler
Race 2 - 1 3/8th miles (turf, rail at 18 feet), Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
1 Diaminda - Has been cashing paychecks but is winless in 7 starts this year; can save every inch of ground, vital in turf racing.
6 Kadesha - Flew home too little, too late last time; it was a good effort and she should improve another step tonight.
Long Shot - 3 Perfecta
Race 3 - 1 mile, Purse $17,000, Claiming $8,000, 3-year-olds and up
4 Deep Play - Claimed two races back by Peter Miller; ran evenly in last, but can be taken to improve here under Drayden Van Dyke.
3 Usbek Thunder - Claimed last out by Bob Hess, who legs up his stable rider Kent Desormeaux; could expect immediate improvement.
Long Shot - 6 Cloud Hopper
Race 4 - 5 furlongs (turf, rail at 18 feet), Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
4 Air of Royalty - First turf try but has a solid resume over synthetics; like the aggressive rider switch to Rafael Bejarano.
2 Blake’s Magic - Well balanced turf record so she is a strong contender again; Kent Desormeaux gets his first crack on her.
Long Shot - 8 Mahalo Princess
Race 5 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Claiming $16,000, 3-year-olds and up
8 Secret Command - Took all the worst of it in his turf debut last out; returns to synthetics which has been much kinder to him.
5 Intaxication - Sharp maiden claiming win in last; now facing winners for the first time, one of the biggest class rises in racing.
Long Shot - 1 Raise the Hoof
Race 6 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 18 feet), Purse $26,000, Starter allowance $16,000, 3-year-olds and up
1 Benba - Suspect there is still some magic in A.C. Avila off the claim; draws the rail and has speed to lead from wire to wire.
7 Los Bambinos - Claimed by Jack Carava off a solid second; ran fast enough to upset these, just needs to maintain his good form.
Long Shot - 8 Indian Nate
Race 7 - 1 mile, Purse $60,000, Optional claiming $62,500, 3-year-olds and up
6 Gotham News - Tom Proctor has a small duck working this meet from only 6 starters; historically he has done very well at Del Mar.
4 Secretsatmidnight - Bob Baffert has been quiet since the Breeders’ Cup; he’ll have a root against California Chrome next week.
Long Shot - 6 Nicklaus Way
Race 8 - 1 3/8th miles (turf, rail at 18 feet), $100,000 Red Carpet Handicap, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
1 Appealing Cat - Graham Motion has had a dream season from coast to coast; Rafael Bejarano replaces the retired Rosie Napravnik.
3 Hijra - Gets tested for class today in her initial U.S. stakes try; has tactical speed to sit a nice trip throughout.
Long Shot - 6 Bee Brave
Race 9 - 6 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
1 Faringdon Circle - Been showing marked improvement in three career starts; moves from post 10 to the rail to save a lot of ground.
4 Tiz Addictedtolove - Robert Palmer would have loved the name of this filly; been working bullets at Los Al and gets Rafael Bejarano.
