6 Hail Mary - Has sandwiched two strong races around a weak effort; if the good ones shows today, she’ll beat these.

4 Secret Genius - Gutsy win last time in open company, albeit over claimers; still, facing Cal-breds is some class relief.

Long Shot - 3 Hidethegoodstuff

Race 2 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $21,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

3 Sweet Nectar - Expect Rafael Bejarano to have a big day today; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.

2 Glorious Memories - Facing winners for the first time is a big class rise; repeat race gives her a puncher’s chance.

Long Shot - 7 Smil’n From Above

Race 3 - 6 1/2 furlongs, $60,000 NTRA, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

5 Tribal Dude - Did everything but win last time in a strong effort; switching from turf to synthetics.

4 Ethnic Dance - Another live mount for Rafael Bejarano; has the speed to lead or sit just off the pacesetters.

Long Shot - 8 Celebrity Status

Race 4 - 1 1/16th miles, $250,000 Melair, Cal-breds, Fillies, 3-year-olds

3 Doinghardtimeagain - Upset winner of the Evening Jewel for the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; Rafael Bejarano, who else, is up.

2 Sweet Marini - Blew a tire as the 3/5 chalk in the Evening Jewel; she’s better than that and the blinkers come off today.

Long Shot - 1 Qiaona

Race 5 - 7 1/2 furlongs, $125,000 Tiznow, Cal-breds, 4-year-olds and up

6 John Scott - Has tackled some good ones in open company; was life and death to win the Crystal Water versus Cal-breds.

1 Mel’s Game - Gets tested for class tonight; been nicely nurtured by Mike Mitchell, may be up to the task.

Long Shot - 2 Kate’s Event

Race 6 - 7 furlongs, $70,000 Grey Memo, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

2 Red Tesla - Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry so caveat emptor; both appear very capable of winning this.

3 Super Ability - Well regarded 5-YO from Carla Gaines; the fact he was a 5-YO maiden with only 2 starts shows they liked him.

Long Shot - 5 Derby Gold

Race 7 - 1 mile, Purse $46,000 (turf, rail at 15 feet), Claiming $50,000, 4-year-olds and up

8 McAllister Boys - Nearly won a modest stakes off the claim by Jerry Hollendorfer; expect multiple wins today for Rafael Bejarano.

3 Diamondsdiplomat - Claimed by Julio Canani after wins for John Sadler and Mike Mitchell; key is just keep him happy.

Long Shot - 2 Ivanho

Race 8 - 7 1/2 furlongs, $125,000 B. Thoughtful, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up

3 Teddy’s Promise - Did everything but win the Las Flores in a duel with Rumor; what would her price be in here today.

8 Ismene - Sharp effort in the Irish O’Brien down the hill; blinkers off by Bill Spawr, another top mount for Rafael Bejarano.

Long Shot - 10 Dancingtothestars

Race 9 - 1 1/8th miles, $300,000 Snow Chief, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds

6 Surfcup - Bob Baffert charge has the tactical speed to sit a great trip; my over/under wins for Rafael Bejarano is 4 1/2.

8 Tiz a Minister - Favorite has to come from out of the clouds; he is at the mercy of pace so I will try and beat him.

Long Shot - 3 Nina’s Dragon

Race 10 - 6 1/2 furlongs, $60,000 Alphabet Kisses, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

1 Warren’s Veneda - Typical green debut, slow early and fast late; a good start will make her job a lot easier.

2 Onemoresweetkiss - FTS from Adam Kitchingman exits a bullet work; Edwin Maldonado is a send rider so expect speed.
