Post Time 1 p.m.
Race 1 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 4-year-olds and up
1 His Royal Highness - Dead late closer is cutting back from route to sprint too; best stride will come late.
4 Gifted Prince - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; been away more than 2-years too.
Long Shot - 3 Cold Bay
Race 2 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds
5 Masaru - Second time out for trainer Steve Asmussen; barn has an uncoupled entry so keep an eye on Python too.
1 Taran Taran - FTS from Bob Baffert; barn has an uncoupled entry in Spirited Touch, so eyeball him here.
Long Shot - 3 Consurgo
Race 3 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $30,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
4 Ubelongtomemissy - Big class relief from the grade 2 La Canada for this; has tactical speed to sit a nice trip.
2 Catienus Gold - Claimed by Peter Miller off a sharp second; Miller taking the blinkers off for this.
Long Shot - 6 Royal Tiger
Race 4 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $8,000, 4-year-olds and up
2 Solar Rocket - Class dropper is exiting some decent races; if he repeats his last, he’ll be right there.
10 Vaundell - Dead game win in last, just needs to repeat the effort tonight; like that Rafael Bejarano remains loyal.
Long Shot - 9 Hidden Blessing
Race 5 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $30,000, Starter allowance $40,000, 4-year-olds and up
5 Keyboard Courage - Gulfstream invader is a newcomer to the Peter Miller barn; suspect the private purchase can really run.
7 Sanibel Sid - Ran like a horse given a race in last off a 15-month hiatus; should be a lot tighter for this start.
Long Shot - 10 Baby Blake
Race 6 - 7 furlongs, Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 4-year-olds and up
6 Macho Dorado - Claimed off a win for Mike Mitchell; he doesn’t need to improve at all, just repeat the last race.
9 Mel’s Game - Nice win in last off a 7-month hiatus; Mike Mitchell charge can evolve into a decent sprinter.
Long Shot - 2 Memphis
Race 7 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $65,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 4-year-olds and up
8 Temple’s Door - Blew a tire in the San Marcos marathon; his race two back in the San Gabriel could upset these.
7 Causeithertz - This is a tougher test as he hasn’t faced a group this tough before; sure to be overbet from Bob Baffert.
Long Shot - 6 Tigah
Race 8 - 7 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, 3-year-olds
11 Primed and Ready - Rallied well in last despite a tough, wide trip; like the parking lot post in an elongated sprint.
2 Zippingaroundtown - Speedball tactics might work in a possible no passing zone race; Tyler Baze is a fine speed rider..
Long Shot - 10 Majestic Desert
Best Bet - 11 Primed and Ready (race 8)
