The Tigers have been terrorizing AL Central opponents over the last two weeks, winning 12 in a row to put the division out of reach. They will not have the same intensity as they travel west for an oddly scheduled four-game set in Oakland. Brandon McCarthy, who has posted a 2.92 ERA at home and a 1.57 mark in his last three starts, goes for the A's, who are playing better than .500 ball this month.
