Boise State tops Wyoming for seventh straight victory

LARAMIE, Wyo. - D.J. Harper rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 21 Boise State past Wyoming 45-14 Saturday for its seventh straight win.

Harper scored on runs of 12 and 3 yards, and Joe Southwick completed 20 of 28 passes for 198 yards with one interception for the Broncos (7-1, 4-0 Mountain West Conference). The Boise State offense was 12 of 14 on third-down conversions and scored on all five opportunities inside the Wyoming 20.

Boise State's defense held the Cowboys below their 25.6 scoring average, recorded four sacks and limited Wyoming to 106 yards below its average.

Wyoming (1-7, 0-4) was without coach Dave Christensen, who was fined $50,000 and suspended by the school for the week over his conduct after a 28-27 loss to Air Force on Oct. 13.

■ Fresno State 49, New Mexico 32 - At Albuquerque, N.M., Davante Adams' juggling catch and run for an 89-yard touchdown midway through the third quarter completed the Bulldogs' comeback from a 21-point deficit in a win over the Lobos.

Adams finished with nine catches for 198 yards and two scores - the second of which gave Fresno State a 28-24 lead. Derek Carr overcame a slow start to finish with 416 passing yards and four touchdowns for the Bulldogs (6-3, 4-1).

Kasey Carrier ran for 136 yards and two scores on 19 carries for the Lobos (4-5, 1-3), with all but 20 of the yards coming in the first half.

■ Colorado State 42, Hawaii 27 - At Fort Collins, Colo., cornerbacks DeAndre Elliott and Jasen Oden each returned an interception for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, and the Rams weathered four turnovers of their own to beat the Warriors.

Chris Nwoke had his first career touchdown catch and ran for another score to offset two fumbles, helping Colorado State (2-6, 1-3) snap a six-game losing streak. Nwoke finished with 115 yards rushing, the first time this season a Rams player has run for more than 100 yards.

Sean Schroeder completed 19 of 46 for 200 yards for the Warriors but was sacked four times and threw three interceptions. Joey Iosefa rushed 22 times for 106 yards for Hawaii (1-6, 0-4).
