Magdaleno fight called off

Las Vegas super bantamweight Jessie Magdaleno won’t be fighting Saturday night in Laredo, Texas.
His eight-round bout was scrapped after his opponent, John Apolinario, failed a physical, according to Lee Samuels of Top Rank.
Magdaleno (20-0, 15 knockouts) would have been coming off an eight-round unanimous decision win over Erik Ruiz on Jan. 10 at Texas Station. Magdaleno recently moved back to Las Vegas from Southern California and is fighting for trainer Ismael Salas after Magdaleno spent the last two years working with Joel Diaz in Indio, Calif.
Apolinario is 18-5-3 with five KOs.
