Ex-Green Valley star Krynzel helps Sidewinders beat 51s

Former Green Valley High standout Dave Krynzel singled and later scored in the ninth inning to lead the Tucson Sidewinders over the 51s 2-1 Tuesday night in Tucson, Ariz.

Krynzel singled off Las Vegas reliever Eric Hull with one out in the bottom of the ninth, then stole second base.

Hull then walked Rich Thompson, and Danny Richar's groundout moved up Krynzel and Thompson.

Hull intentionally walked Alex Romero to load the bases, and Robby Hammock's single to center field brought Krynzel home with the winning run.

The 51s (28-36) got their run on a Marlon Anderson RBI single in the top of the eighth.

Chris Carter homered in the bottom of the eighth to tie it for the Sidewinders (36-28).
