Findlay Prep gains early lead, breezes to victory in Texas

Dominic Artiss had 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists to lead Findlay Prep's basketball team to an 82-47 win over Trinity Christian (Texas) on Friday at Lubbock, Texas.

Artiss, who has signed to play at Oregon next season, led four double-figure scorers for the Pilots (23-1), who led 17-6 after one quarter.

Nigel Williams-Goss supplied 18 points on 8-for-10 field-goal shooting and Amedeo Della Valle score 14 on 6-for-8.

Winston Shepard had 10 points, six rebounds and five assists, and Arizona signee Brandon Ashley contributed eight points and 10 rebounds for Findlay Prep, which is scheduled to host Rise Academy (Pa.) at 7 p.m. Friday at Henderson International.
