■ LAKE MEAD -- The striper bite remains good, with anglers finding success around the clock. Live shad and shad imitations are the most productive baits, though cut anchovies also are catching fish. The Vegas Wash, Overton Arm and Temple Bar areas are producing fish. Largemouth and smallmouth bass are hitting plastics as well as spinner baits and surface lures.
■ LAKE MOHAVE -- Anglers trolling trout imitations are catching striped bass from Willow Beach to Monkey Hole. Weekly trout plants are providing action for trout anglers throwing a variety of hardware or still-fishing with PowerBait, salmon eggs or worms. Anglers fishing out of Cottonwood Cove are finding fast action for striped bass from 3 to 10 pounds. Jigging lures and trolling are productive. Anglers reportedly are seeing good striper boils. The catfish bite also is good.
■ LAUGHLIN -- Anglers are catching stocked rainbows as well as carry-over fish along the Colorado River. Striped bass and bluegill are showing up in the creel as well.
■ URBAN PONDS -- Catfish still can be found at the local urban ponds. Fish on the bottom with stink baits, night crawlers or sliced hot dogs. The Nevada Department of Wildlife is looking to resume its winter trout stocking activities in mid to late November.
■ KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA -- Anglers have found good fishing in recent weeks. Rainbow trout are providing most of the action, though largemouth bass are in the mix as well. The NDOW has planted rainbow trout in Cold Springs, Haymeadow and Adams-McGill reservoirs. Duck season is under way, so sportsmen have the opportunity to hunt the early-morning hours and fish during the middle of the day.
■ EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR -- Action for German brown trout has picked up, and rainbow trout are hitting PowerBait in green color combinations. Worms, mini-marshmallows or a combination of the two are generally productive for rainbow trout. Lures, flies and grasshoppers are good options for brown trout.
■ ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR -- Warm temperatures have extended the action for largemouth bass and crappie, though that could turn as temperatures drop. Rainbow trout are hitting PowerBait, lures and spinners and night crawlers.
