FISHING REPORT

* LAKE MEAD -- The past week has been slow. With winds calming down, that should change. One angler reported he caught a 20-pound striper off Hemenway Bay. Fishing in the Vegas Wash area also has slowed. Action for rainbow trout was good following the Saddle Cove plant. The striper bite picked up in the late afternoon.

* LAKE MOHAVE -- Willow Beach saw an increase in angler activity. Anglers successfully worked a school of rainbow trout that cruised the shoreline. One fisherman caught a stringer of rainbows on peach-colored PowerBait. Boat anglers fishing from Willow Beach downstream to mile marker 46 fared poorly. Fishing out of Cottonwood remains poor to fair.

* LAS VEGAS URBAN PONDS -- Sunset Park has been fishing well, but fishing has been slow at the other ponds. Rainbow trout will be stocked this week. PowerBait or worms have been productive.

* LAUGHLIN -- Rainbows have been taking a variety of baits along the Colorado River below Davis Dam and between the Laughlin Bridge and the Riverside Hotel. Hardware, PowerBait and worms have been the ticket.

* EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR -- Worms and PowerBait have been taking stocked rainbows.

* ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR -- Water level has climbed. Fishing activity is picking up.

* KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA -- Anglers might find skim ice around the edges in the morning, but otherwise the reservoirs are free of ice. Fishing is fair. Rainbow trout were stocked in Adams-McGill reservoir last week.

* COMINS LAKE -- Anglers have been pulling northern pike and rainbow trout through the ice.
