Four Utah State football players injured in crash

Four current Utah State football players and a former Aggies softball player were injured in a car accident on Friday in Trenton, Utah.

The Salt Lake Tribune reported some of the injuries were serious, but didn’t specify which ones were more severe.

The newspaper identified nose guard Travis Seefeldt, linebacker Adewale Adeoye and defensive ends John Taylor and Edmund Faimalo as the football players involved in the wreck. Former softball player Sarah Vasquez was the driver.

She entered an intersection in front of an incoming semi-truck, which T-boned Vazquez’s 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, according to the Tribune.

“We will do everything we can to help all the student-athletes involved in today’s car accident and will give them all the love and support they need,” Utah State football coach Matt Wells in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved.”
