Four Sounds homers too much for 51s

Logan Schafer and Jordan Brown hit back-to-back home runs to lead off the bottom of the first inning, two of four home runs hit by the Nashville Sounds in their 13-3 Pacific Coast League win over the 51s on Friday night in Nashville, Tenn.
Taylor Green and Martin Maldonado also went deep for the Sounds (61-59), with Maldonado's three-run shot highlighting Nashville's six-run sixth inning.
Right-hander Wily Peralta (1-0), in his Triple-A debut, held Las Vegas (60-60) to three runs on six hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out eight.
David Cooper had a sacrifice fly in the first inning and an RBI single in the sixth for the 51s, who saw their three-game winning streak end.
Brown and Eric Farris each went 3-for-5 for the Sounds, who held a 14-8 edge in hits. Farris drove in three runs.
Las Vegas starter Chad Beck (1-2) gave up nine runs on 10 hits and two walks in 5 1/3 innings.
Shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria, in his 51s debut, went 2-for-4 with a double. Travis Snider also had two hits for Las Vegas.
