• CORONADO -- Girls track athlete Sam Swan won the 400-meter dash at the Southeast Division Championships with a personal-best time of 1 minute, 4.7 seconds. Boys track athlete Sean Stoops won the 800 in 2:04 and ran on the winning 1,600 relay team at the Southeast Division Championships.
• DURANGO -- Softball player Nicole Herrera pitched a two-hit shutout against Bishop Gorman.
• LAS VEGAS -- Baseball player Marvin Campbell went 5-for-9 with two home runs, a double and a triple in three games.
• LEGACY -- Boys golfer Ryan Stimson shot 72 at Craig Ranch to tie for second in a Northeast Division match.
• MOUNTAIN VIEW -- Baseball player Billy Paddack went 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs against Indian Springs. Softball player Valencia Casey was 4-for-5 with a triple, a home run, three RBIs and pitched a one-hitter against Indian Springs.
• PALO VERDE -- Baseball player Brandon Renteria was 5-for-9 with seven RBIs and seven runs in three games. Softball player Lauren Stover went 2-for-3 with three runs in a 6-2 win over Centennial.
• VALLEY -- Softball player Lucelly Arias was 5-for-8 with two doubles, a triple, three runs and three RBIs in two games.
ATHLETES OF THE WEEK MALE James McKoy, Canyon Springs McKoy went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and three runs and got a save as the Pioneers held off Chaparral 15-13 to claim the Northeast Division's final postseason berth. FEMALE Breanna English, Liberty The sophomore pitcher threw a three-hitter with five strikeouts and went 2-for-4 to lead the Patriots to a 3-0 win over Green Valley, clinching the Southeast Division's final playoff berth.
