Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 - 1 mile, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
It's Partytime - Has been well backed in her last four starts; Gary Sherluck barn has been producing winners.
At Your Service - Eddie Truman filly is sliding down the claiming ladder; Chantal Sutherland is vastly underrated.
Long Shot - Ocean Babe
Race 2 - 1 mile, Purse $27,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Step Lightly - Mark Casse has an uncoupled entry, I expect one of them to win; Patrick Husbands chose this filly.
Be So Special - Speedy sort gets class relief from the Cal Oaks for this claimer; will likely track Nine to Dine early.
Long Shot - Twoformeoneforyou
Race 3 - 7 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Keira's Way - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; her speed figures are good too.
Secret Potion - Dangerous coming from the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; she'll unleash her best stride late.
Long Shot - Gale in the Vale
Race 4 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $23,000, Claiming $20,000, 4-year-olds
Fantasy Free - Claimed by Mike Marlow off a sharp win; if he repeats that race, he'll win again tonight.
Lunch Time - Second start off a 2-month hiatus; he looked like he needed the race, should be tighter for this try.
Long Shot - Guts
Race 5 - 6 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Rare Nugget - Logical chalk won for $25K now slides down to $16,000; like that Garrett Gomez rides in a cheap race.
Frangipanni - Sliding down the claiming ladder to this career low level; her win two back is fast enough here.
Long Shot - Pindaric
Race 6 - 6 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Jilona - Cannot remember the last time trainer Beau Greely won a race; the one to beat on the steep class drop.
She's All Rev'd Up - Off slow in debut, she found her best stride late; dangerous with natural improvement.
Long Shot - Kentucky Nectar
Race 7 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), $100,000 Baldwin, 3-year-olds
Dream Now - No barn is hotter in the U.S. than Julio Canani; colt's hillside win two back was a thing of beauty.
Dream of Kaylee - Tries turf for the first time; he has a world of talent and figures to start showing it.
Long Shot - Flashmans Papers
Race 8 - 7 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Starter allowance $40,000, 3-year-olds
Leavethegateopen - Tiny edge in the most difficult race on the card; chased a fast horse in Devil Cat MD.
White Lace Jimmy - Chantal Sutherland was smoking last time with a big stretch rally; this can be a useful animal.
Long Shot - Tavern
Race 9 - 6 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Tie - Adam Kitchingman filly figures to be forwardly placed throughout; they will all be wobbling home in the stretch.
Spirited Lady - Been away 3-months, but returns on the class drop and with Rafael Bejarano; need not be much.
Long Shot - Dixie Lady
Best Bet - Dream Now (race 7)
Santa Anita Saturday- Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 18/6/$24.60; Long Shots, 10/2/$28.00; Best Bet, 1/1/$3.00
