Hunt, Burton lead Wolf Pack to opening win over Montana

RENO -- Dario Hunt scored 18 points and Deonte Burton 17 to lead UNR over Montana 81-66 in the season opener for both teams Saturday.

Malik Story also scored in double figures for the Wolf Pack, finishing with 16 points.

Brian Qvale scored 20 points to lead the Grizzlies, and Derek Selvig grabbed 11 rebounds.

UNR shot 50 percent from the field, including 10 of 19 on 3-point attempts, while holding Montana to 38.6 percent.

Montana led by 10 late in the first half before UNR closed with an 8-0 run to trail 34-32.

The Wolf Pack opened the second half with an 18-5 run, sparked by three 3-pointers from Story.
