Yang shoots 70, takes lead at Honda Classic
Y.E. Yang shot even-par 70 on Saturday, good enough to give him a one-shot lead over Jeff Klauk (67) and Jeff Overton (70) entering the final round of the PGA Tour's Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Yang bogeyed the third hole, birdied the 15th and made nothing but pars the rest of the way to post a 7-under 203 total.
Ben Crane got into the lead with an ace on the 162-yard fifth hole, then chipped in on the next hole for another birdie to get to 7 under. He then made two double bogeys in the next five holes, finishing three shots back.
Charlie Wi (65), Brett Quigley (67) and John Rollins (68) all finished two shots off the pace at 205.
Also: Australia's Katherine Hull had seven birdies en route to a 6-under 66 to take a two-stroke lead over Angela Stanford after the third round of the HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore.
Hull, who won the Australian Ladies Masters last month, had an 11-under 205 total. Sun Young Yoo (68) was a stroke behind Stanford and a shot ahead of Korean compatriot Mi Hyun Kim (70), with second round co-leader Paula Creamer (72) five strokes off the lead.
Mark O'Meara shot 5-under 66 to share the lead with Bernhard Langer at the Champions Tour's Toshiba Classic in Newport Beach, Calif.
O'Meara and Langer are at 9-under 133 through two rounds.

UNLV baseball piles up runs, sweeps Butler
The UNLV baseball team rumbled over Butler in a doubleheader, winning 19-10 and 24-5 at Wilson Stadium.
In the opener, Ryan Thornton went 2-for-6 with a homer, three RBIs and three runs scored for UNLV (10-3), Jarred Frierson went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored, and Anthony Morel was 4-for-6 with two RBIs and three runs scored.
In the second game, Jesse Wight went 3-for-4 with a homer, four RBIs and two runs scored, and Bryan Resnick (3-for-5, three runs scored) and Drew Beuerlein (2-for-3, three runs scored) also had four RBIs apiece.
Also: The UNLV softball team blew a 3-0 lead, then bounced back for a 5-4 victory over UC Santa Barbara at Eller Media Stadium.
The Rebels (15-8) gave up four runs in the top of the seventh, but came back with two runs in the bottom of the inning. Marissa Nichols' RBI single tied it at 4, and Brittany Bolinger followed with the game-winning RBI single, scoring Tara Bendt.
The UNLV women's tennis team beat UNR 4-3 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels (7-4) took two of three doubles matches to earn the first point, then got singles wins from Katy Williams (No. 3), Adrienn Hidvegal (No. 5) and Rumyana Terzieva (No. 6).
The UNLV men's tennis team lost to Fresno State 5-2 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels (9-5) got their points from Mehdi Bouras (No. 2 singles) and Attila Toth (No. 5 singles).
The College of Southern Nevada baseball team (13-11, 5-3 Scenic West Athletic Conference) swept Western Nevada 8-5 and 5-1 in a doubleheader at Morse Stadium.
The CSN softball team (19-6, 16-4 Scenic West) beat Snow College 9-1 and 5-2 in a doubleheader at Russell Road Recreation Complex.

Galbraith, Aces strike early to rout Wranglers
Lance Galbraith had two goals and Brett Hemmingway four assists Saturday night to lead the Alaska Aces to a 6-2 ECHL win over the Wranglers in Anchorage, Alaska.
Tyler Mosienko and Chris Neiszer scored for Las Vegas (27-25-8), which trailed 3-0 after the first period and was outshot 41-19 for the game.
Nick Tuzzolino had a goal and two assists for the Aces (35-21-3).
Also: Alex Ovechkin is ready to return to the Washington Capitals' lineup.
The team said the NHL's reigning MVP and current goals leader will face Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins today.
Ovechkin missed one game -- a 2-1 loss to Toronto on Thursday -- with a bruised heel after getting hit on the skate by a puck during practice.
American Shani Davis set a world record in the 1,000 meters at the speedskating World Cup in Kearns, Utah, breaking the mark U.S. skater Trevor Marsicano held for about 20 minutes.
Davis, who set a world record at 1,500 meters Friday, finished in 1 minute, 6.42 seconds.
Lindsey Vonn clipped a gate during the slalom, missing a chance to clinch the overall title in Ofterschwang, Germany, and Sandrine Aubert of France won her first World Cup race.
Vonn, the first-run leader, still takes a big lead into this week's World Cup finals in Are, Sweden. Vonn is seeking to become the first American woman to win the prestigious overall title twice.
The Detroit Lions agreed to contract terms with free-agent offensive lineman Daniel Loper.
The 6-foot-6-inch, 320-pound Loper played in 40 games for Tennessee after the Titans drafted him in 2005 out of Texas Tech. In Detroit, he will rejoin former Tennessee defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, who is now the Lions' head coach.
James Kirkland remained unbeaten when his brutal 154-pound fight with Joel Julio in San Jose, Calif., was stopped after the sixth round due to a cut near Julio's right eye.
Kirkland (25-0, 22 knockouts) widened a cut near Julio's right eye during an action-packed third round, but Julio (34-3) landed more dangerous punches while countering Kirkland's aggression. Julio lost steam in the sixth and didn't protest much when the bout was waved off.
