Avs' Sakic undecided about playing future

Colorado Avalanche captain Joe Sakic hasn't decided whether to return to the team for his 20th season or retire.

Team spokesman Jean Martineau said Saturday that Sakic met with general manager Francois Giguere. Martineau said Sakic wasn't ready to make a decision about his future.

Also: The Ottawa Senators signed center Chris Kelly to a four-year, $8.5 million deal.

Penguins general manager Ray Shero said Hossa decided to seek other options after Pittsburgh made what Shero called "a very, very fair contract offer."

The Los Angeles Kings acquired center Brad Richardson from Colorado on the second day of the NHL Draft.

Richardson, 23, had 19 goals and 21 assists in 136 games with Colorado in parts of the last three seasons.
