INTERNET ONLY: Arbor View defeats Palo Verde in boys volleyball

Matt Ward had 36 assists Monday as Arbor View's boys volleyball team defeated visiting Palo Verde, 19-25, 25-18, 14-25, 25-17, 15-7.

Zac Reese added six kills and six blocks, and Michael Cable had nine kills for the Aggies.

Tyler Capko led the Panthers with 20 kills, and teammate Adam Nieman had 43 assists and five aces.

Mojave 3, Legacy 2 -- At Mojave, Tony Vaz had 20 kills, six assists and three blocks as the Rattlers earned a 26-24, 22-25, 20-25, 25-19, 15-7 victory over the Longhorns.

Alex Montgomery added 17 kills and two blocks, and Nick McCurry had three kills, five blocks and two aces for Mojave.

Benjamin Noel led Legacy with 13 kills, and teammate Steven Leavitt added 25 assists.

Basic 3, Green Valley 1 -- At Green Valley, Anthony Gambone had 16 assists and Daniel Bowman had 12 kills as the Wolves beat the Gators, 25-15, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Jared Mackelprang added 10 kills and seven blocks for Basic. Camron Olsen and Chris Mortensen each had 10 kills for Green Valley.

Centennial 3, Shadow Ridge 0 -- At Centennial, Spencer Olsen had 13 kills to lead the Bulldogs to a 25-22, 26-24, 25-19 win over the Mustangs.

Matt Kurtz added eight kills and Chey McDonald had six digs for Centennial.

Preston Simper led Shadow Ridge with eight kills and six blocks.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Cheyenne 0 -- At Cimarron, Scott Beckwith had seven kills and four digs, and Triton Manumaleuna had six kills, nine digs and five aces as the Spartans beat the Desert Shields, 25-18, 25-14, 25-15.

Dustin Larsen added five kills and 12 digs for Cimarron. Jeff Lytle and Ervin Leu each had two kills for Cheyenne.

Del Sol 3, Liberty 0 -- At Liberty, Eddlys Garcia had seven kills to lead the Dragons over the Patriots, 25-15, 25-22, 25-16.

Bryan Grenier added four kills, 13 assists and four aces for Del Sol. Devon Gonzales had five kills and five blocks for Liberty.

Silverado 3, Tech 0 -- At Tech, Trevik Jenkins had 10 kills and two blocks to lead the Skyhawks to a 25-9, 25-20, 25-12 win over the Roadrunners.

Justin Close added four digs and 30 assists, and Mike Mark had eight digs, six kills and three aces for Silverado.

Coronado 3, Foothill 0 -- At Foothill, Chris Austin had eight kills, eight digs and five aces to lead the Cougars to a 25-10, 25-16, 25-13 win over the Falcons.

Eric Boman had six kills and five aces, and Bryan Arana had five kills for Coronado.
