INTERNET ONLY: Centennial whips Palo Verde in girls soccer

Bethanie Skelton scored three goals Wednesday as Centennial blanked visiting Palo Verde, 7-0.

Julie Owens added two goals and an assist for the Bulldogs. Riley Bassett and Katelyn Thein also scored for Centennial.

Jenna Riddle made four saves to earn a shutout.

• Legacy 3, Cheyenne 1-- At Legacy, Celia Myers, Camille Skrinjaric and Kahaionaklo Polvado each had a goal to lead the Longhorns over the Desert Shields.

Jennifer Ramirez scored for Cheyenne.

• Arbor View 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 -- At Arbor View, Erika Peeples scored three second-half goals to lead the Aggies over the Spartans.

Stacey Brinkman had two assists for Arbor View, and goalie Alex Luevano recorded the shutout.

• Foothill 1, Liberty 1 -- At Foothill, Liberty's Brandee Haynes scored five minutes into the second half to help the Patriots tie the Falcons.

Tahnee Bly scored in the first half for Foothill.

• Green Valley 7, Tech 0 -- At Green Valley, Kayla Varner and Ali Schaefer each scored three goals and had an assist as Green Valley did all of its scoring in the second half.

Krista Brizeno also scored for the Gators. Goalkeeper Megan Grosvenor didn't face a shot on goal but recorded the shutout.

• Silverado 1, Coronado 0 -- At Coronado, Shelbi Spooner scored the lone goal to give the Skyhawks the win over the Cougars.

Goalkeeper Samantha Lewis recorded the shutout.

• Shadow Ridge 8, Mojave 1 -- At Mojave, Kelsey Tesoro had two goals and two assists to lead the Mustangs.

Natalie Mestas added a goal and an assist, and Kelsey Kurth, Beth Perrin, Kelsey Priest, Brienne Clarke and Caitty Weiss each scored once for the Mustangs. Yesica Martin scored for the Rattlers.
