INTERNET ONLY: Durango sends Silverado to first regular-season volleyball loss since 2003

Durango’s Markie Malone recorded 47 assists and Hayley Spelman had 35 kills as the Trailblazers outlasted visiting Silverado 25-16, 20-25, 30-28, 22-25, 15-11 in high school volleyball Tuesday.

Julie Amundson contributed 29 digs for the Trailblazers, and teammate Jordan Nitz added 14 kills.

Marilyn Agae had 41 assists and Taylor Richard had 20 kills for the Skyhawks, who hadn’t lost a regular-season match since 2003.

At Coronado, Brianna Tolliver had 14 kills and six digs to lead Sierra Vista to a 23-25, 25-21, 25-17, 21-25, 17-15 win over the Cougars.

Jessica Mojica added 38 assists and eight digs for the Lions, and teammate Breanna Mason had 11 kills and four aces.

Sam McCosh paced Coronado with 11 kills, nine aces and 24 assists, and Jennifer Singer had 11 kills for the Cougars.

At Las Vegas, Morgan Vieira had 25 assists and seven digs, and Danielle York had seven kills, seven digs and five aces as Centennial beat the Wildcats, 25-22, 17-25, 25-22, 25-19.

Lauren Sagers added 10 kills and five digs for Centennial. Chenoa Rossi-Childress led the Wildcats with 14 kills, 11 blocks and 14 digs, and teammate Frankie Marshall had 16 digs, seven kills and five aces.

At Mojave, Julia Stolworthy had five kills and seven aces, and teammate Tasha Stenbridge added four aces as Basic defeated the Rattlers, 25-5, 25-7, 25-13.

Stephanie Cinkovich added six kills for the Wolves.

At Chaparral, Sarah Concannon had 24 assists to lead the Cowboys past Tech, 25-13, 25-13, 25-21. Torrey Barlow had 10 digs for the Roadrunners.

At Del Sol, Kadie Miller had 12 assists, three kills and two aces to lead the Dragons past Spring Valley, 25-18, 25-9, 29-27.

Brenna Becker had seven kills and six digs for the Grizzlies.

At Legacy, Talia Morgan-Taylor had 27 digs, and Kaha’i Polvado added 22 assists and four aces as the Longhorns defeated Eldorado, 20-25, 25-13, 26-24, 25-15.

Sueala Sauiluma had 10 kills for Legacy.

At Palo Verde, Green Valley defeated the Panthers, 25-21, 19-25, 31-29, 25-20.

Palo Verde’s Hanna Korn added 25 assists and Nicole Gneiting had six kills and six blocks.

At The Meadows, Tracey Anderson had 32 assists, and Meagan Murphy added 16 kills and 10 digs to lead Faith Lutheran past the Mustangs, 25-20, 25-15, 25-17.

At Desert Pines, Alison Simons had six kills and three blocks to lead Bonanza over the Jaguars, 3-0.
