INTERNET ONLY: Panthers outlast Bengals in boys volleyball

Adam Nieman had 52 assists Tuesday to lead Palo Verde to a 25-18, 16-25, 26-24, 16-25, 15-11 win over Bonanza in boys volleyball.

Tyler Capko had 30 kills for the Panthers, and Clayton Worthen added 12 kills.

Dallin Hyer led the Bengals with 12 kills. Jeremy Anderson and Jordan Leavitt each added nine kills.

• Arbor View 3, Chaparral 0 -- At Arbor View, Matt Ward had 22 assists and eight aces as the Aggies beat the Cowboys, 25-10, 25-8, 25-9.

Zac Reese added eight kills for Arbor View, and Nathan Stuart had six kills and three blocks.

• Basic 3, Eldorado 0 -- At Eldorado, Anthony Gambone had 17 assists to help the Wolves to a 25-12, 25-11, 25-20 win over the Sundevils.

Jared Mackelprang had six kills for Basic, and Eddie Castillo added five kills.

Dylan Lewis had five digs for Eldorado.

• Centennial 3, Green Valley 0 -- At Centennial, Drew Staker's nine kills and nine blocks helped the Bulldogs to a 25-20, 25-22, 25-23 win over the Gators.

Spencer Olsen added eight kills for Centennial, and teammate Seth Mitchell had 22 assists.

Cameron Olson had 10 kills and four aces for Green Valley. Chris Mortensen added nine kills for the Gators, and Taylor Mitchell had 20 assists.

• Cheyenne 3, Tech 0 -- At Cheyenne, Jeff Lytle had five kills in the Desert Shields' 25-19, 25-13, 25-12 sweep of the Roadrunners.

Conner Patterson and Brandon Jackson each added four kills for Cheyenne.

• Coronado 3, Durango 1 -- At Durango, Bryan Arana had seven kills, five digs and two aces in the Cougars' 26-24, 25-11, 14-25, 25-18 win over the Trailblazers.

David Hyer added seven kills for Coronado.

Mark Brautigam led Durango with seven kills. Velmin Husic added four kills and four blocks, and Darren Torrie had 15 assists for the Trailblazers.

• Canyon Springs 3, Del Sol 0 -- At Del Sol, Ray Esteves had 34 assists as the Pioneers defeated the Dragons, 25-23, 257-25, 25-22.

Jacob Houghtaling led Canyon Springs with 11 kills, and Nathan Lewis added 10 kills.

Dane Gunter had 12 assists for Del Sol.

• Cimarron-Memorial 3, Foothill 0 -- At Cimarron, Dustin Larson had 12 kills and two aces to lead the Spartans over the Falcons, 25-21, 25-14, 25-15.

Triton Manumaleuna added nine kills and six aces for Cimarron.

• Desert Pines 3, Western 1 -- At Desert Pines, Jose De La Cruz had 31 assists and Paul Burns had 18 kills to lead the Jaguars over the Warriors, 20-25, 25-19, 25-10, 25-14.

• Las Vegas 3, Silverado 0 -- At Las Vegas, Jon Dugan had 26 digs, seven kills and five blocks and Danny Farias tallied 32 assists and two aces as the Wildcats beat the Skyhawks, 25-23, 25-19, 25-19.

Trevik Jenkins led Silverado with six kills, two blocks and four digs.

• Liberty 3, Legacy 1 -- At Legacy, Steven Leavitt had 19 assists and five aces as the Patriots rallied to beat the Longhorns, 16-25, 25-21, 26-24, 25-23.

Ethan Ebuing added 10 kills and Benjamin Noel nine for Liberty.

• Bishop Gorman 3, Valley 1 -- At Gorman, Chris Pittaro had 22 assists as the Gaels outlasted the Vikings, 25-14, 25-14, 24-26, 27-25.

Kamana Kaimikaua had 11 kills for Gorman, and Riley Foley added 13 digs.

Jimmy Videaux had 18 assists, six kills and three aces for Valley.

• Mojave 3, Spring Valley 1 -- At Mojave, Tony Vaz had 14 kills and 14 assists to lead the Rattlers to a 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-21 win over the Grizzlies.

Alex Montgomery added 17 kills for Mojave.

Erick James had nine kills and three aces for Spring Valley. Jayvin Garcia added 16 assists for the Grizzlies.

• Sierra Vista 3, Shadow Ridge 0 -- At Shadow Ridge, Ryan Gillihan had 12 digs and Zach Waldron had 38 assists to lead the Lions to a 29-27, 28-26, 25-20 win.

Brent Waldron added seven kills, seven digs and three blocks for Sierra Vista.

Ryan Nolan had 13 kills and Kyle Connor 12 for the Mustangs.

• Rancho 3, Clark 0 -- At Rancho, Jon Drury had 13 kills to lead the Rams to a 25-22, 25-15, 25-23 win over the Chargers.

Antonio Belcher added 11 kills, and Kevin Wadsworth had 32 assists for Rancho.
