■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Cashman Field, the 51s (6-5) gained their first home win when Reese Havens lined a bases-loaded, walk-off RBI single to left-center field with two outs in the 11th inning. Coty Woods had walked the bases loaded with one out for the Sky Sox (6-4) before striking out Josh Satin looking. ... Las Vegas nearly won in the 10th, but pinch runner Carlos Torres was thrown out at the plate by right fielder Tim Wheeler while trying to score from second on a sharp single by Omar Quintanilla. ... Tyler Colvin hit two solo homers for Colorado Springs, the latter tying the game at 4 in the eighth after the 51s’ Juan Lagares led off the seventh with a tiebreaking homer. ... Jamie Hoffman hit a three-run homer in the second for the 51s, who had lost their first two at home and four of their last five. ... 51s right-hander Zack Wheeler, rated baseball’s No. 8 prospect by mlb.com, allowed three runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings, with no walks and eight strikeouts.
