Laswell leads Lions to 11-inning victory against Trailblazers

Desiree Laswell scored on a wild pitch with no outs in the 11th inning Thursday to lift Sierra Vista's softball team to a 3-2 home win over Durango.
Laswell led off the 11th inning with a single and moved to third when Maria Capparelli's sacrifice bunt was misplayed.
Durango went ahead 2-1 in the ninth inning on a home run by D.J. Richardson, but the Lions took advantage of a throwing error in the bottom of the inning to tie the game.
Laswell went the distance to earn the win, allowing seven hits and striking out 12.
• Spring Valley 8, Bonanza 7 -- At Spring Valley, Taylor Gilliland's two-run single in the seventh inning forced extra innings, and Rachel Perri scored the game-winning run on a throwing error in the eighth as the Grizzlies beat the Bengals.
Gilliland finished 3-for-4 with a triple and earned the pitching victory.
Katie Garcia went 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI and Lauren Maloney went 2-for-5 with a triple, a double for Spring Valley.
Alex Teed went 2-for-5 with a triple and a run for Bonanza.
• Bishop Gorman 14, Western 0 -- At Western, Hayley Atiyeh and Alexis Aguirre combined on a five-inning no-hitter and struck out 11 as the Gaels beat the Warriors.
Atiyeh was 3-for-4 with a triple, two doubles, two runs scored and three RBIs.
• Rancho 7, Valley 6 -- At Rancho, Karina Calderon raced home with the winning run on a passed ball with no outs in the ninth inning as the Rams edged the Vikings.
Rancho forced extra innings on Maria Palacios' two-run double with one out in the bottom of the seventh.
Lorena Villamar was 3-for-4 for Valley, and Lucelly Arias went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs for the Vikings.
• Las Vegas 3, Eldorado 0 -- At Las Vegas, Jennifer Gliddon threw a two-hitter and struck out nine for the Wildcats.
Hayli Rochell had two hits and an RBI to pace the Las Vegas offense.
• Canyon Springs 15, Desert Pines 9 -- At Desert Pines, the Pioneers used a nine-run second inning to build a 13-0 lead, then held off the Jaguars.
Teresa Ybarra had two doubles for Desert Pines.
• Liberty 3, Basic 1 -- At Liberty, Breanna English allowed no earned runs and struck out eight to lead the Patriots over the Wolves.
English also drove in two runs and scored one.
• Clark 17, Chaparral 0 -- At Clark, Elisa Dawson tossed a two-hitter and struck out 13 in five innings as the Chargers routed the Cowboys.
Clark's Anna Jaehn was 2-for-3.
• Cimarron-Memorial 2, Faith Lutheran 0 -- At Faith Lutheran, Carrie Sheehan tossed a two-hitter and struck out six as the Spartans beat the Crusaders.
Chelsea Williams was 2-for-3 with a double for Cimarron.
• Marist (Ore.) 3, Foothill 1 -- At Foothill, Marist's Nyree White was 2-for-4 with an RBI as the Spartans beat the Falcons.
Foothill's Lakesha Guidry went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
