Lindsey homer lifts 51s to win
John Lindsey hit a tiebreaking three-run homer in the ninth inning, sending the 51s to a 6-3 victory Sunday over the Salt Lake Bees in Pacific Coast League play in Salt Lake City.
Lindsey's 14th home run of the season made a winner of Greg Miller (2-2) and a loser of Kevin Jepsen (0-1).
Miller entered in relief with one on and two out in the seventh and gave up an RBI single to the first batter he faced, Freddy Sandoval, tying the game at 3.
Brian Falkenborg pitched a perfect ninth for his 12th save.
Lindsey, Sergio Garcia and A.J. Ellis each had two of Las Vegas' 13 hits.
