MMA Rankings: Bisping moves up with win over former champ

At the end of the third round of Saturday’s main event in London, it looked as if that one last run Michael Bisping hoped to make at a UFC title might be over before it truly got started.

But Bisping got new life when the fight wasn’t stopped despite Anderson Silva’s celebration and he took advantage by securing a unanimous decision victory over the former middleweight champ.

The victory enabled Bisping to leapfrog Silva in the latest edition of the CoveringTheCage.com rankings and positions him within a shouting distance of the top of the list.

Bisping may have one last run in him after all.

The rankings could really be shuffled next week as several fighters will be in action at UFC 196 in Las Vegas on Saturday, including No. 3 pound-for-pound Conor McGregor.
